The Hotel Culture is an online community for hotel fans, culture lovers, and brand fanatics to review, comment, and exchange ideas on the hotel scene. Founded in 2014, it has investigated what makes a great gateway city hotel experience around the world, including cultural events and brand partnerships. This will be the kind of website that will help readers make smart decisions when it comes to lifestyle hotels, unique, bold, and different in their own right. This attracts discerning guests who place a value on style and global travelers looking for hotels that genuinely reflect local culture.

Project Objective

This project aimed to redesign the website of The Hotel Culture to make it more visually attractive, increase functionality, and make it better at performing on both desktop and mobile devices. The client wanted a modern interface to capture visitors’ attention, ensure smooth navigation, and create high engagement with their content.

Design Process

The redesign of The Hotel Culture website began with wireframe creation to establish a clear structure and layout. This initial step focused on essential elements including the homepage with a featured carousel, easy-to-navigate links to reviews and articles, and a section for contributors.

Upon finalizing the wireframes, high-fidelity mockups were then developed in order to give the visual identity of The Hotel Culture. This was created with a clean and minimalist design in the form of a more refined color scheme and typography, which can stand in for the opulent and refined character of the hotel industry.

Result

Upon launching the redesigned site, The Hotel Culture witnessed massive improvements in performance and usability. PageSpeed Insights scores were reported as 99 for the desktop version, both in performance and accessibility, and perfect 100s in best practices and SEO. For the mobile version, the score was 81 in performance, 91 in accessibility, and 100s in best practices and SEO. The new design delivered on its promise: an extremely visually appealing, functional website that is also optimized as well as fitting in completely with the values of the brand, The Hotel Culture, and has significantly been enhanced for all user levels and devices.
